G,day Dingo.Many moons ago as a young lad, I did my work experience at Kodak Australia which was located at the massive site in Coburg Melbourne. The company was so big it had its own in house tradies facilities including carpenters, electricians, plumbers, instrument makers and boiler makers.I was assigned with the carpenters and put under the wing of a senior guy named Ray. The last week of my work there had me very interested in applying for an apprenticeship.When having a chat with Ray about the future of the company. I was amazed he told me “one day all this will be gone”. Even back then I remember him telling me the digital age would finish the company. Sure enough over the years the site continually downsized and those tradie sites eventually disappeared leaving in the end only a printing area then its final demise in 2004.The behemoths in the semiconductor industry will be no different to the above story. Game changing is where we are and invested.
