Has anyone actually looked at PT Bank Fama before deciding it's a better investment than IDSB?
PT Bank Fama made $165k AUD in 2019. I can't actually locate the 2020 figures in English. There's a reason a bank is selling off 37%. The business needs the money to stay a float. Grab and Singtel plus the other buyer of 5% paid that amount because of the minimum cash requirement that the bank needs to keeps it's license.
In December last year, Bank Fama Indonesia only had 1 trillion rupiah (around US$69.5 million) in common equity. That’s 1 trillion rupiah less than the minimum limit that the bank must own by December 2021 – a limit that was set by Indonesia’s Financial Service Authority (OJK).
It pays to do some research before talking about things like you know what you're doing.
