I think @sharemans MO goes something like this.

He sees himself as an intellect but with a purpose and hence only targets 3 kinds on here :

1. Those he feels are worthy of a public academic confrontation.
2. Those that appear as the leaders of the group and that may be swaying others opinions.

3. Those that state obvious incorrect figures or poorly researched posts.

I think he is no holder either long or short and isn't here to supply a view on share price direction and politics.

I think he's been stung before from buying into someone's stock tip or advice and now feels it's his mission to provide a voice for the other side that he wishes someone did for him. Bit sad but it's the only logical conclusion I can reach. He's here to provide his definition of reason to those who he feels maybe follow blindly or are uninformed. Not defending him but poor bloke must turn himself inside out being on here trying to save everyone. Stay well shareman.
