I like this stock and have made a fair bit of paper profits but it truly does behave like a dog at times. I have no idea why but for some reason it goes up a lot only to come shooting back to earth with a vengeance.
Over the past 3 months this has dropped 29.4% vs all share of 4%. I would expect a bit more volatility especially as tech hasn't done well but this seems excessive. The continuing drop in SDR share price would have meant a drop of 11.51cents in NTA to take it to today's price. Strakar only occupies a 10c NTA component so should not impact by more than a few cents if any.
So the $1.87 NTA at end of December should be roughly $1.74 today and it is trading @ $1.22.
I just think the company should have an active cashflow management program to effect a buyback at some level. At todays pricing there is roughly a 30% discount to NTA. I really don't want that in my investments. I think that if that happens the company should get permission to do a 20% buyback each year and every so often do a rights issue at a higher price to top up the kitty.
I don't know what the issue is but a 30% discount to NTA is very disconcerting.
