you are forgetting about the housing shortage....and the fact everyone wants to live in the inner suburbs....
all the young gun tradies left the suburbs and regional areas and went to the cities....
all thats left out there in tree change land is old semi retired blokes....who do crap jobs....and one waits months for them to start...
the house price history I posted yesterday shows nothing to support your view...20 years history with plenty of ups and downs.....

in suburbs and country towns that cannot support jobs etc, you will notice a reduction in house prices....no one wants to live there...and now we have a huge water shortages.....
hence all the kids want to live in the city....
dont hold your breath for city prices to stagnate or fall...
even if they stopped immigration completely...our house prices would not fall over
