As i said the payment is not franked at all since BTA don't pay tax and have no tax credits to return to shareholders....
The only issue which concerns the ATO is whether the payment attracts capital gains tax or is considered a capital return....
And yes there are those who beleive that continuing to hold under all circumstances make them loyal, wonderful shareholders deserving of a pat on the back.
I had a 6 figure sum stopped out at $3.20 and topped up again under $2.80.... you do the maths!
