The only logical reason appears to be the FED and their friends in the US keeping a cap on it. It would be horrible for their economy if all the liquidity moved to precious metals.
IMO it is only a matter or time before the market gets too fearful and the liquidity is too much to cap.
It is ridiculous the world is currently in some of the worst times in history yet precious metals are currently the same price as recent boom times... go figure
