I remember reading somewhere any overseas buyers wishing to purchase Australian ventures having to go through government channels regarding foreign ownership before a green light can be given. Meaning a battle with beauracracy !!!. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
As an outside guess BHP would rather this be wrapped up a.s.a.p rather than having to wait for government approval on such matters leaving MRE & POS in poll positions.
Any thoughts ???
