I have a feeling it's going to be slightly better than that. Malaysian retail sales increased in November to the tune of 3.4% MoM and 6.1% YoY. No data available for December however November was the second consecutive month of retail sales increasing.

App downloads was at 28k which was an increase of 67% and activated consumer accounts only at 8k which was an increase of 71%. These increases I'm speaking of happened in a month and a half which coincides with the increase in retail sales.

The only downside would be omicron however there's a window in which the company had a chance to complete some merchant activations meaning online sales via myIOU have the possibility of increasing despite omicron.
