My take is they are most definitely aware...
Apple currently have the most advanced desk top chip in my opinion M1 arm processor. How best to stay ahead of the mobile market in terms of energy consumption then to buy the nearest best tech to solve competitors problems...
It will never happen though. DEFINITLEY IP customer in future...
