Correct that they have built the world's first heavy industry haul truck powered by green hydrogen and battery power. What we also know is that they have "proof of concept' with this project and it only took them 130 days to achieve that milestone. Yes, they still have a bit more work involved in getting a mining haul truck to operate with the same or better capability and efficiency as a diesel fuelled haul truck. I'm ok with that. Here's a little more colour around the this project/s planned on FMG's mine sites. Note, this article was published in November 2021. The WAE partnership has now turned to an acquisition. Let's see what this technology is capable of.

As for the figure it cost, that's anyone's guess at this point in time. Again, I'm ok with that too for now whilst this exciting testing is underway. First 'proof of concept' - TICKED. Note, from the article above, they used one of their existing electric drive trucks as the truck was at the end of its mining life and converted it to a prototype FCEV.

In house testing first, test test and more testing, then target heavy industry once fully proven as the technology commercialisation opportunity would be very significant.
