The problem the Anglos have is that they can't afford a direct conflict with Russia because they will be annihilated and they are well aware of that. They are just gas bagging blustering psychos who like to throw their weight around destroying and pillaging smaller defenceless countries and brainwashing the populace into thinking that they still remain the dominant force.
So if they can't push Russia to begin a conflict with their hysterical propaganda then the chances of external war diminishes and the chances of civil war rises.
