I can understand traders maybe having to cover short positions at AWE today (price dropped on news of an excellent Perth Basin gas flow) but JPR with 1/30 of AWE's market cap??
Maybe the answer as simple as a high proportion of technical traders that don't know or care about any of the fundumentals. And if the action is anywhere else on a particular day THEN that's where their sole focus will be.
Actually I would be quite pleased to see a ramp up of JPR's drilling program 2H 2010 (personal tax reasons I can't get too far into JPR before then). Anyway, a lagging SP could be to all our advantages LOL.
