I did notice that we are now tending to close on higher levels. I have no idea why, my only guess is that shorters appear to have taken the majority of their positions under 1.30 and now as sellers are drying up maybe they are chasing the larger parcels of shares higher up.
I notice when lower sellers appear it is often only 1 or 2k of shares. If shorters need to close 300k plus below 1.30 they would need to grab 10 or 20k parcels if offered.
is it possible shorter algos trickle sales down to lower levels to try and make holders nervous then grab any large sell offers before close?
looking at mid afternoon today a lot of small hf trades on lower side then at around 2.30 a couple of larger buys at high took around 50k of shares. Do they use hf to push it down then grab the offers that appear when holders panic?
