Neuromorphic computer systems have been around but they require large equipment. This has been shrunken down to the Akida chip.
In this space it's all about copyright and maintaining secrecy until commercialization. Working under the umbrella of the government, NASA or Microsoft will not be as efficient (control and bureaucracy kills innovation!) and we would never get a Brainchip company because the intellectual property will be consumed by the higher powers.
I'm sure once BRN get Akida out into parts of society then government, NASA will all pay attention...like Microsoft when they first launched Windows and Apple with their operating system.
