Part of the trouble is when you see your friends or colleagues are 'fat' but you are slimmer than them that you are somehow 'not too bad after all'. This is a ubiquitous denial/comfort mechanism that somehow you are doing the right thing. Wrong!! I recently played Twin Waters GC and was surprised that nearly everyone took a cart out on the course. I would never dream of doing so b/c ur right its just so lazy. Even the pros walk the course-caddie for the bag yes. I work in a health profession and am surprised what excuses people come up with for their weight when challenged on the grounds of me trying to help their outcomes. Usually that I am 'not that overweight' or point blank 'I am fit and healthy' when it is obvious they need their 10+ pills a day to keep them from keeling over. Or that they call someone else fat while their shirt barely reaches over their pot to their waist. It costs me,you and everyone a fortune to pay for fat people and I hate it. Very few fat people have an excuse.
