Dave, it's too early to tell if the climate is suffering a significant cooling phase or not. I'd give it another 5 years maximum before we know for certain, depending on the rate of change. The faster the change the faster we will know. As posted elsewhere it's not out of the question we could have a rapid freeze. Just because the IPCC computer models don't predict one doesn't mean it can't happen. Time will tell. One thing is for sure. The climate will not stop changing until the earth's atmosphere is extinguished.
