if they are skewed towards giving false positives the fact you have COVID symptoms and also got a positive result doesn’t necessarily confirm the test accurately detected the virus.
It’s possible you could have just as accurately confirmed a diagnosis simply on the basis you developed COVID like symptoms after being a close contact.
I still don’t see the point in DIY RATs until the inaccurate are removed from circulation. They are likely to do more harm than good imo.
