As this announcement reminds us, AUZ has no active mine.
They used to have a mine in WA. It was called Blair. That was in 2005
Is Blair still active? Did it get renamed? Did Brett Young etc somehow remove themselves from those who now control AUZ? Is it one of these in the list below? I’m sure it’s not any of the top two, but the question remains. What happened to it?
In 2011, BB joined AUZ.
The SP has gone absolutely nowhere since BB’s appointment almost 11 years ago.
What happened in 2005? It looks to me like there was some hope but it faded & never recovered. Was the team that had a mine going replaced by the people we see now?
The 2008 crash? Largely the result of the GFC, I would imagine, but why no recovery since then? Have the team who have today announced the appointment of a ‘Sconi owner’s team’ ( strange name- do the people who are listed own Sconi now? ), not been able to achieve what the people who ran the company prior to 2011 did?
I’m even more convinced now that AUZ should get rid of the East Coast tenements- all of them- and head to WA. I never knew they were there before, so I’ll change it from ‘head to WA’ to ‘head back to WA’.
