So let's cut to the chase: The USA is ahead of China in GDP (USD) at present but
behind the USA in GDP (PPP)
China is rapidly closing the GDP (USD) gap; so much so that it is expected
that it will pass out the USA in GDP (USD) by 2030 & some say by 2026
due to Covid.
My point is that GDP (PPP) is a more important yardstick for comparing countries globally
(see the IMF explanation above)
