Thirty years is yesterday, ie brand bloody new in the bussines of fundamental scientiirfic research Bucky. And anyway, any basic scientific research is "cutting edge" BY DEFINITION. LOL

But I have no time to muck around here over the 101 or high school level science that we should all have some clue. Just in case your a supersceptic bordering on paranoia and not a downramper just note what is the progress that has been made here:

The creation of an mTOR treatment that can be taken without serious side affects ( at least for over half a year or more that it's been tested) that shows positive signs against a very aggressive cancer (as hoped) and is ready for testing on kpax's long list of mTOR related or suspected mTOR conditions.

That is a rare achievement in the mTOR R&D game of the last 30 years and something to be truly excited about. Unless they're lying through their teeth, the near future should be very interesting (in a positive way).
