I'm a member of the Facebook group and from memory when I joined the criteria seemed quite reasonable for a group meant to be promoting courteous discourse. Your account has to have a real name and include a photo. I think this was an effort to discourage anonymous/faceless people coming in and hijacking it.
If the criteria have changed or become more strict since then I must admit I'm unaware of it.
As for Daniel posting there, if it saves him answering multiple emails with the same question over and over or encourages more shareholder engagement I don't see a problem with it. Of course he has to be careful not to post anything that could be construed as inside information there but that's on him and no different to him posting anywhere else really...
