just to give an extreme example. I am invested in a canadian company that is conducting a trial against cancer. due to covid it is estimated that the trial was pushed back by two years! due to clinics being closed and trials everywhere being put on hold. was very frustrating to say the least.
here in europe countries are fully opening and stopping all restrictions the upcoming months. even if the cases are very high, hospitalizations are low and however wanted a vaccine can have one. now finally its "lets get on with our lives"
