With no spot market and no futures market, graphite pricing is very opaque indeed. The methodology utilised by Benchmark Minerals, Fastmarkets & AsianMetals varies given they obtain transaction data from different sources each month.
The variation in Pricing from December of ~$2,900 in Asia vs $3,900 in the USA for example, a number of factors exist such as existing Long Term Contracts, micron sizing, purity differences to name a few.
When that Deficit hits in the very near future, these numbers are going to run pretty hard IMO
As I said Today, 5-10% monthly rises are going to become the Norm in 2022
