How MFG manages its "shrinking" will be the crucial element in any analysis of target SP prices over the next 6 months.
And, of course, the assumptions will be the keys to any future model. Expect resignations, expect FUM reductions, expect cost reductions, expect writedowns.

If MFG can stay near the $2 eps, then $20 is a reasonable short-term target. That should be do-able.
And having minimum debt and with good profits for the past year, then there should be ample firepower to stabilize things at least in the nearterm. That won't go down well with current shs, I know.
But decisions need to be made urgently about closer benchmark hugging, cost controlling, mexicana, divi part-deferral, on-mkt buyback, debt headroom increase, % fee reductions, and non-core selloffs should all be on the table to get the coy back to having additional firepower available to weather any market storm with a sustainable model.

Perhaps even a cornerstone investor should also be on the table. Maybe MQG, the Milners, an overseas cornerstone or even PDL may be interested.

Will be an interesting 6 months. But positive.
