ABS data for December is out, 'Cafes, restaurants and catering services' is the closest we have as an indicator to wholesale demand (as opposed to retail or export demand) that i can think of, not sure how useful it is in practice, but its something.
December number dropped on seasonally adjust terms, as expected due to the big omnicrom wave, staff shortages etc. (maybe more to come as it ramped up in dec)
I thought it might have been more dramatic, more like the big drop in 2020, so its not too bad imo.
