purplepatch - agreed, it's a good incentive (and reward if things go well) to the right people - and they're both certainly the right people. I really rate them both. It's no surprise that they've worked well together over many years and created a lot of value for shareholders (e.g. Giralia) - with the best yet to come with the much under-rated Zenith.
Both guys are classic quiet achievers. With deep but slightly different skill sets, they make a most impressive mini-team and are pivotal in why Zenith has such very high potential.
You can bet your left one that Stan is getting the extra options because he's earned them. I understand that his role in project generation has been outstanding and bear in mind that he's only getting parking money pay as a Non-Exec. Director. Plus, with their very small Board at present (Chairman left a few months back) they must be working very hard indeed.
BTW it's a further measure of the calibre of Mick that he's happy with the number. Quality guys; I love this company...
