I would love some advice from you guys or anyone else thats an experienced trader. i have been learnign charts and TA since 2007 and have been trading myself since easter this year. Relative to my goals i have been successful and feel comfortble in what im doing but as wink pointed out there are so many different styles that i have reached a stage where im gettin confused and second guessing my own strategy. just on this thread T91 uses his pitchforks, Paul with Ichimoku, Robbbbbbb puts emphasis on stochs, while my style is most similar to Sharks. I have briefly gone through all my trades and have found that my approach has changed quite a bit since september and my results have been mixed since then. im still trying to find my niche and have found that i have been adding various elements to my trades which has ultimately put me in a position where im no longer sure of what i should be looking at. the only aspect that today im 100% comfortable with is my money management.
im out of the market atm but am keeping an eye on a few charts. i go on leave from work end of next week and plan to review my trades in detail as well as putting a plan on paper (although I already have it in my head and apply it). i also plan to write all my trades on paper prior to entering.
From what i understand such information overload is part of the ta learning process and i would love some advice if u guys have been there before. i treat trading as a hobby for the moment since my job has priority and prevents me from watching the market consistently. i do plan to do it for a living eventually and when the time comes i want to feel ready.
if u guys have any advice i would love to hear it. thanks in advance
