I think they are just posing for the shot and with a second look this morning I've worked out it wasn't RH or myself.

Given the core is still whole, I'm guessing and hoping that is simply an archived piece of footage shot many months ago.

They obviously have to cut and crush the core to assay.

What I heard at AGES last year (from the head of MinEx CRC amongst others) was that NDIBK04 was picked from all the cores as the single core to get exhaustive testing, amongst other tests, full multi element and gold assays on every metre. Hence, an uncut and crushed core means old footage.
