I think both CAP and HIO have reported an ore body of 10billion tons plus and some time ago an interview with a geologist that worked for HIO gave a talk on green steel production was posted here. He also mentioned the CAP (HIO) deposit was at least 10B tons.

Add to that the recent study that suggested it would be quite economical to also process the lower grade (sub 9.5%) ores and I think its fair to say people shouldn't get to hung up on the official JORC resource HIO reports. The ore body is very consistent and infill drilling has pretty much been inline with expectations. There is really no great hurry to prove up much more of the resource then is currently being done. They will have decades to do that. But its there! Of that I am quite sure.

Depending on how high they go in terms of annual productions they are likely to be mining this for 50years or even over a century if they stick with 10Mtpa.. Resource size is not an issue!
