Hi all,
I’m new to the HC sphere but have spent a bit of time trawling through the threads, and am impressed by the insights provided from both bears and bulls!
I am bemused by the last 72 hours for WEC.
By all accounts, this was a pretty good place to park some funds in an energy company; consistent long term SP rise, sitting at a six year high 3 days ago.
So, is this SP crash a bit of an over reaction, or do people know something that I am missing?
If the medium term liquidity was a concern, then the SP should have tanked on the 31/1 quarterly report, yet a small price dip was corrected in a matter of days, back to a 6 yr high right up to the trading halt.
Or was the SP artificially elevated by the hope of a big fat damages award from the court case that would gloss over the current liquidity issues?
Surely, even if damages were awarded, there would be potential appeals pending from Bayan over the quantum of damages; again no short term cash injection for WEC.
So why has everyone jettisoned WEC?
