100% agree. Management are just optimising and cleaning house to make sure testing on the new mask+ chip is industry standard. They have already stated in previous announcements that there was potentially an issue with the mask, and endurance testing was at the limits of the test equipment. This implies to me that we have been maxing out the sensitivity and testing capability of our "home grown" test equipment for a while now.

Surely going to industry standard test equipment will enable buyers to compare apples with apples too. Better for a corporate transaction. Good thinking Dr w. Furthermore, if imec are creating the mask and the MB chip is the imec platform, why wouldn't you also upgrade to the pro test platform? Use the funds to get the complete package.

This announcement is all positive ti me. 4DS are saving money, optimizing thier process and ensurung results are quantifiable against known standards. Sounds like prudent management getting the house in order and set for the big game to me!
