I see these developments as overwhelmingly positive.

As several posters have said, this sounds very much like they can see the finishing line. They want to make sure that they can produce the best (most accurate) performance data they possibly can - not possible with the DIY testing kit they have been using to date.

For me it's obvious that Guido wouldn't be agreeing to move to half pay unless he was very confident in what was coming later this year. Would anyone here?

One of their key senior engineering staff headed to retirement in October - who by the way has had an outstanding career in the semi-conductor industry - tells us that after what will be 7 yrs with 4DS his work is done.

Given what happened to the US markets yesterday the market may mark 4DS down today along with everyone else (Nasdaq took a beating after the US inflation numbers) but people that know the 4DS story and can read / comprehend what is being done here should be content. They know that potential acquirers are going to want to see performance data produced by state-of-the-art Testing equipment.
