Not really - simple English.
I was manager of an area at work and was promoted. There was a function where I was thanked for the great work and wished all the best for the future.
So to Aaron - "during his tenure as an Executive Director and the Managing Director."
Did not say or suggest anything about him leaving the co. Just his GREAT WORK in those positions.
