A box cut is just a fancy word for the entrance to an underground mine decline (access shaft). It is the big square reinforced declining ramp that you may have seen at an entrance to an UG mining operation. It is definitely not unheard of to start off with an UG operation, however, that would usually be reserved for very high grade and non-dispersed mineralisation. A more likely option for Parks Reef would be to target shallow high grade zones with multiple open pits (200-300m deep) and then developed UG operations from the bottom of the pit in due course. Thank you, yes I did see when I was looking but I had visions of very long “trench” removing material to a given depth. I appreciate the feedback
