That “existing well” is actually one of the drill holes, within shouting distance of Cofer Springs, from AZL’s earlier Phase 1 or 2 exploration. They registered it as a well with the state but it is a virgin as far as producing any water is concerned.

Arizona has “water management areas” in some urban areas, but this remote part of Mohave County is not one of them, yet. There are efforts being made in the Legislature right now to create one there, but it would probably apply only to the area north of Interstate 40.

BLM hasn’t given permission for anything. The Environmental Assessment describes what AZL has proposed. They don’t give permission until the comments are reviewed and addressed.

Hasn’t AZL vaguely addressed water rights, by saying somewhere, perhaps in an infomercial video, that they have been secured? Wasn’t some money spent on that?
