We will have a decent market correction over the next year or two. Volatility will have a new definition: plus or minus 20% within any 3 month cycle. I expect that the cocky naysayers and will be taught a lesson as money flows in and out will be huge.
Instead of having open minds, they seem to have self-serving tunnel vision. This, in my view, is very much a 21st century phenomenon. We used to respect diversity of opinion and listen to both sides, just in case the other guy sees something you don't.
Not any more. People re-write history, make up their version of the facts (leaving out bit they don't like) to suit their narrative.
Investing is a long game and not always profitable. Observation skills, brains and temperament also matters. You won't find any of these in an index fund.
