I've essentially done the same thing. If the share price does happen to get above the option exercise price soon you can always sell some shares on market and exercise your options with the proceeds (be sure to account for taxes though). Or you could see if anyone is still looking to buy the options privately. They may not be fetching much these days compared to last year, but their value would change if the share price re-rates before expiry.
