I see in Australia that home EV chargers are scheduled to arrive that allow V2G and V2H which would serve as decentralised storage for intermittent power generation such as solar or wind.

But saying things are pointless based on the current infrastructure, that is outdated and heading in a cleaner direction; is very much like if previous generations said that "sealing roads seems pointless because it's harder on our horses"
