On the surface it seems they had a reserve of 0.127% cobalt or thereabouts @hotuna. with a cut-off of 0.06-0.07% Co. Equivalent to 600-700ppm.

cut off grade can be lower depending on tonnage, other metals in the deposit, and depth as with any deposit. Haven't looked into the shape or geology just a quick scan so can't comment on AISC..

Price of cobalt had an assumption of US $61,000 (cobalt now 71,000) but remember some metals are only 80% payable, varies between metals. so I'm going to say that if Maroochydore has an avg grade of 0.04-0.05% then it could well be economic at these prices as you'd be extracting the copper with it. Alot of variables as they were also mining avg grade nickel (0.5%) and cobalt as a by product.

At Maroochydore it seems the cobalt grade correlates with the copper. Higher grade copper resulting in higher grade cobalt.

No doubt It will definitely help the overral feasibility of the deposit but no reason to get too carried away until we have an idea of the size of Maroochydore. It already has a large footprint which is good. The shallowness is in our favour. If the supergene is substantial we could easily mine the oxide / supergene only, as we already have the infrastructure at Nifty do so.
