Yes I completely agree it should read 6% and is probably a typo. I had already made that assumption. But they have had a long time to put that presentation together. For a company that is supposedly as professional as they are, mistakes like that are inexcusable. How many times would that have been read before the meeting yesterday? The mind boggles.
As negative as I may be sounding, long term I still believe we are on a major winner. However, there is currently a serious lack of transparency from the company that needs to be addressed.
What happened to the North Sea contract? Supposedly their biggest contract to date. Deepseasat posted on here some time ago that the contract had been lost. Strange that there was no mention of that contract in the AGM. In fact, there was no mention of any contracts at the AGM.
Furthermore, was it only on the day of the AGM that they realised their earnings for the 1st half were going to be significantly lower than last year? Somehow I doubt it. And how much lower are they anticipated to be? We don't know because WE HAVEN'T BEEN TOLD.
