You mentioned earlier "The CO2 needed to make a EV car takes around 7 years to become neutral"
Well at least it becomes neutral, cant say the same for your diesel powered car.
With solar panels you can charge your car overnight, it all helps.
Once solar, hydrogen etc catchup, the EV infrastructure will be there ready to go rather than waiting 20-30 years to develop.
