    Pas,

" Victoria’s four major power plants are located in the valley and mine over 65 million tonnes of brown coal annually."

    1MTPA offtake = capex $122.4 mill (for 60% moisture) - Chairmans address page 16.

    2 tonnes brown coal = 1 tonne Coldry + 1 tonne water.

So likely around 32mtpa Coldry is needed to power all four stations - with likely enough bi-product water to supply 100% of their needs.

Therefore, to replace all four LV stations:

    32 x $122.4 mill = $3.9 Bill.

Miniscule cost when you consider the various political, economic, and environmental benefits (inc WATER - enough bi-product to probably serve 100% of LV station needs).

The boilers would have to be replaced too. Black coal boilers are about 20% cheaper than brown coal boilers. From memory - I worked it out at @ $5 Bill to replace all four stations boilers.

So Coldry + boilers = @ $9-10 Bill - for state of the art stations. Problem solved. They just received another $4 Bill + the $3.3 Bill = $7.3 Bill....

According to Milne yesterday - its a real possibility. Makes sense to us - surely it makes sense to the Govt !

ESI is in play now - a real credibility boost today - the sp will follow soon.
