Nb is worth ~$1.44/oz so forget about it. Silver is 15 times more valuable.
We would need niobium grades in the % range before BBX would even think about extracting it when we've got 8 very precious metals to mine.
Also BBX have stated that the osmium is the main metal that's caused problems in the past.
Best do more fact checking before believing anything on here. It's pretty rare these threads see an on-topic post.
Getting back on-topic...
If the wet oxidation assay they'd been using was more accurate and passed QAQC we would have first assays by now and would be having a very different, much more celebratory conversation.
The great thing is that they have sorted out the nickel collector assay which is based on established assay methods so no doubt it's a more robust method that will deliver good QAQC results.
I'm sure BBX were working on the nickel collector assays with a 1,600C smelt well before we knew about it. As soon as the umpire lab assays arrive we'll be having that 'different conversation'. Just a matter of a week or 3 hopefully.
