That could happen if sellers held back until the pre-market ended for that part of the alphabet- by design or by accident- say if a large sell order missed the pre-market by nanoseconds- or the expectation of an SP increase was telegraphed and smart sellers just waited for that higher price.
Something like that. I wonder sometimes if that is more likely with companies that start with A- punters might be surprised by the open.
