NO company will admit a stuff up.
If something goes wrong all companies nearly always convince themselves that it can be fixed in a couple of days and then another couple of days. I suppose that bit is corporate / human nature.
No company would say the deal has fallen apart unless they absolutely have to. I'm not saying this deal has fallen apart though.
You just have to wait it out.
