Is it possible the dumbasses in govt did something similar to toll roads when privatising electricity, clauses for compo if the playing field is changed to disadvantage operator.
If Bluegen comes in then it breaks operators monopoly on exorbitant connection fees to grid. Who's going to pay to connect a new house, if you can stay stand alone.
And if it is all connected to grid, will electricity companies simply up their ongoing connection fees to compensate for loss of sales & rebates.
I agree with you on lack of willpower to give coal the heave-ho. I will refrain from having a political rant :)
