I'm curious as to why a mining contractor is being pursued for the Hillgrove operations. I understand why typically a mining contractor is used. However, I believe Hillgrove has 2 competitive advantages for attracting workers in the mining industry. It will be a long life operation and any worker can lead a normal family life living nearby in Armidale. These advantages would seem to be diminished by using a mining contractor. For example, the mining contractor might be replaced and any worker will have less security than would be the case if an employee of RVR. Consequently, RVR is competing with every other mining operation in a situation where there is a shortage of appropriately experienced personnel. Are the fears associated with using employees so great as to outweigh the advantages?
