Sounds to me like you truly believe in renewable energy.
The problem you have is that there is not enough YET,
You also likely have not worked out that when the sun doesn't shine, and the wind doesn't blow you have no power.
Batteries will only power a city for a few hours at a time, what about prolonged emergencies. Possibly days.
How do you have a productive manufacturing / mining base without electricity that has base load characteristics.
If renewables could power it all, there would be NO silver left, there simply is not enough to make that many panels for the world. YES solar panels have lots of silver in them.
In that scenario, those solar panels have life for about 20 years, what then ?
Wind turbines have a life of about 25 years and they are very heavy users of electricity and coal to make.
Whichever way you look at this, you need large scale base load power, a refusal to consider nuclear leaves you with fossil fuels, its that simple.
Unless you want to go back to the dark ages.
