I am curious about one thing - maybe someone can enlighten me anyway.

The offer is $1.55 including the 5 cents paid out in dividends. That works out at a $1.50 cash component to shareholders. Beats me why people are still buying in at $1.53 - and I suspect there is zero chance now that Westfarmers will feel the need to increase the offer at this stage.
